How do I care for my candles?Always trim the wick to a 1/4" before lighting; this prevents a large flame and soot on the glass. Allow the wax to melt right to the outer edge of the jar on your first burn. This will prevent tunneling, creates a “memory burn” and ensures your candle burns evenly throughout its life. Feel free to reuse your candle jar once the candle is finished! I pour boiling water into the jar and allow the water and wax to cool overnight. Once cooled, you should be able to remove the hardened wax that has migrated to the top of the jar. Peel off the wick base, wash with warm soapy water, rinse and reuse!

What makes Nourish & Play candles different? Please remember that my candles are hand poured, not massed produced. Although I am incredibly meticulous in making each candle to ensure consistency, every candle will be different. When using natural soy wax, common "imperfections" that can be seen are - The development of a light flakey appearance known as "frosting" - A "wet spot", where the wax does not completely adhere to the glass. These are a point of pride in my candles, as it confirms I am using high quality soy wax. The top of your candle may also appear slightly uneven, this is also a sign of natural soy wax being hand poured. Please note that refunds will not be issued for these slight variations in appearance. I can assure you, the candle will still smell amazing!
